But if there are, I would have a fabulous halo even if it was defective. In South America, they have an expression that says "They can't take the dance away from me." It means that no matter what happens to a person, no matter how miserably or unfortunate circumstances may come into his life, no one can take away the sweet memories of happiness they experienced in their life with the ones he has loved. You may brand me defective and a flawed human specimen, but you can't take the dance away from me. In the next life, I would still love my partner just as much as I do today. And I will still have all those sweet memories of a life together filled with joy and happiness.

We are ALL defective and fallen. Some of us struggle with our lust. Some of us struggle with tempers. Some of us struggle with jealousy. Or laziness, or anxiety, or depression, or...well, you get my point. We ALL have weaknesses caused by our fall. The difference is you embrace the fall and seek to convince others it is a good thing.

Just because I don't like the music doesn't mean I'm trying to take the dance away from anyone. I never said you were defective, I said that halo of yours must be getting really tight.

I perceive it as some people seeking to convince others that the sin of excluding gay people is a good thing, to be celebrated, whereas I view that exclusion as sinful. Edited June 8, 2016 by Gray 1

Excluding others for committing, embracing, or promoting sin doesn't preclude loving them. But actions have consequences. God excluded 1/3 part of his children from ever progressing because they refused to follow correct principle.

After all, God excluded the 1/3.

But hey, I am a big boy, I can take the insults. I do embrace a life connected with someone I deeply care about and love. Is that so hard for you to understand? I am obviously at peace with that decision and I put my trust in God. How God judges me is of way more importance than how you or anyone else judges me. And I will except that judgement completely because I believe it will be just and the best thing for me. While I have been quite open as to why I have made the choices I have made, what I have never done is to seek to convince you or anyone else that they should or need to accept the choices I have made. I pretty much think that is between me and God. I don't recall that you or anyone else really matters or participated in that judgement. So why should I care in the least what you or others think of my choices?

Ahh..the "act of homosexual relations is biological" argument. I may be willing to acknowledge that DNA plays a role in homosexuality, just as it does in many other mortal challenges. That is not what causes the exclusion. Exclusions are based on acts, not DNA. It was the refusal of the 1/3 to follow law that caused their exclusion. If my DNA challenge caused me to commit a sin or crime that doesn't excuse that sin or crime because I was "born this way" I am still subject to the laws. Edited June 8, 2016 by JLHPROF

You seemed to be suggesting that exclusion must be okay since God allegedly did it. My point was that exclusion for exclusion's sake makes no sense.

Agreed. 100%. I have a few things to say to him about that deception. 1
