And with that, I have busted my budget, lol.

Father's Day is coming.

Yeah, that's the ticket!

Thanks for the suggestions! My Amazon wish list is now a mere 66 books long, having pared it by eight books but adding probably twelve. Y'all were a lot of help.

It was very faith affirming to me...

I found this to be quite inspiring:

Teilhard's Mysticism: Seeing the Inner Face of Evolution https://www.amazon.com/dp/1626980853/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_A2mrxb9105TF0

And I keep meaning to get this as well:

The Unbearable Wholeness of Being: God, Evolution, and the Power of Love https://www.amazon.com/dp/1626980292/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_S.mrxbZKEWHBC

But perhaps you might be more edified by:

Evolving Faith: Wanderings of a Mormon Biologist https://www.amazon.com/dp/0842529446/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_r4mrxbZN1VGGS

Be blessed, Johnny Cake!

I would also highly recommend John's book "Heaven Up Here".  It is very good.  It's the only book I've ever read aloud to my teenage kids on a long car trip.  I started out just reading a few stories and they insisted I read the whole thing (every time I would stop, my teenage daughter would say "Continue!").  I've read a few "mission" books, and this was bar far the best.

Well, flapjacks and french toast.

I don't know whether to pare my list or bite the bullet harder. This looks really good too.

Books ordered. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Well, don't keep us in suspense.
What did you decide on?

Kramer: Beholding the Tree of Life

Millet et. al.: LDS Beliefs

Givens: The God Who Weeps

Nibley: Temple & Cosmos (Thanks to GardenGirl)

Ostler: Fire on the Horizon (Thanks to Tom NOsser)

Miller: An Experiment on the Word

Williams: Heaven Up Here (Thanks to jkwilliams and cinepro)

Holzapfel et. al.: Jesus the Christ Study Guide

DandyBlend coffee substitute.Because I like a warm beverage with my breakfast.

I discovered while adding the Gospel Library that my phone can double as an e-reader. So I snagged a few very cheap apps. Phone apps for:

Talmage: House of the Lord

Talmage: The Great Apostasy

Smith, J. Jr.: Lectures on Faith

Smith, Lucy: History of Joseph Smith By His Mother

LDS Church: Gospel Library
(Thanks to JHLProf and Scott Lloyd--JHL for urging me to get some 'classics', Scott for suggesting the Gospel Library app).

Only about $75.00 over budget.:o:wacko::pardon:

Not familiar with the others, but these are all classics in their own right.  And I love Temple and Cosmos.  (Mostly the first half).
