White House Economists: Robots Will Replace Low-Wage Workers

I wonder what our church thinks? Will that force us to become communists and true socialists?  At General Conference President Benson said, "Our families may be corrupted by worldly trends and teachings unless we know how to use the book to expose and combat the falsehoods in socialism, organic evolution, rationalism, humanism" Genesis 3:19 says, By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food. So what if the robots become our servants, and we no longer have to work?

The sooner menial jobs are replaced the better. There will still be plenty of work to do. I honestly suspect Zion will have somewhere between a ten to twenty hour workweek to take care of essentials. The rest will be work like genealogy, history, scientific study, and the like which will advance humanity as a whole.

For someone who wants religion to stay the heck away from science and politics, you sure do like posting topics putting them together.

Do you really want to know the Church position on a political issue like this?  I thought they weren't supposed to express one according to you.

You know the old saying about young socialists/old socialists.

I still do! but they won't. Just look at my original post, I quoted Benson's political talk. It seem that the position of the church is against communism, so I just wonder what will the church think when Robots become our servants.

I'm not so worried about robots being our servants, I'm more worried about us becoming theirs.

Unlikely! I am more worried about climate change, nuclear wars, pandemic disease.
I believe scientists will be very careful not to create robots that are a threat to the human race.

Robots do not have souls. Except Data of course.

Anyways, it seems you can't tell the difference between a religious and political stance. They are not the same.
