My daughter also just got her mission call. Berlin, baby! Congratz on your daughter accepting a call. I'm sure living with you has prepared her well. 3

"Sir" will suffice. 1 hour ago, consiglieri said: You are too smart not to get what I am driving at. I'm also too smart to have the phony wool pulled over my eyes. 1 hour ago, consiglieri said: The first century New Testament epistles were not written for us, but for the people of that time to whom they were written. "And I did liken all scriptures unto ourselves, that it might be for our profit and learning." The Lord calls His servants with the same mandate today as formerly. 1 hour ago, consiglieri said: Otherwise we would counsel against marriage as per 1 Corinthians 7. The same goes for all scripture. The revelations given to Joseph Smith and calling him the servant through whom God would reveal his word cannot simply be misappropriated by any Tom, **** or Harry who happens to outlive his fellow apostles almost two centuries later. Except, as you perfectly well know, they are not being "misappropriated." That accusation is an outright falsehood. As you perfectly well know, they are being properly applied. But hey -- why let anything as trivial as mere facts get in the way of your polemics? 1

Peterson wrote that he is not sure that Mohammed was not a prophet of God. http://blog.mrm.org/2010/11/daniel-peterson-isnt-sure-if-mohammed-was-a-prophet/ SO? Am I supposed to take his "I'm not so sure" statement as the word of God? I don't think so. You seem to have some axe to grind with the GAs or something. May I suggest you get over yourself? GAs are like everyone else. They have opinions and are imperfect. If you accept that maybe you would stop playing the devil's advocate. There really is no time for that. Decide whether you are with Christ or not. He has imperfect people to work with. So they have had some wrong opinions....so what? That doesn't make the church untrue...if so, it would have been untrue since the time of Joseph Smith who said "even 56 years should wind up the scene." Well, here we are 175 years later. Rather than continuing to harp on perceived faults why don't you help win some people over to the true gospel.... you obviously have an astute mind. But you cannot run off and start your own church with your own priesthood.... it doesn't work that way. If Jesus founded this church and it is the last church on the earth as He said, then any change must come from within. Why don't you pray about wrongs you perceive to see if there isn't some constructive thing for you to do to help the church. 1
