Another Jack Chick catalogue in the mail today

    Today I recieved my Chick Publications Catalogue in the mail  entitled " Battle Cry ". On the back it states - " The Whole World Hates Jesus Christ !", Breaking News " Jesus Is Coming Again ". "He'll Rule The World From Jerusalem And Judge The Terrified Nations", And You... America. It portrays again an anthropomorphic Jesus with no face, ears,hair, 100 + feet tall sitting on his throne with glory light coming out of the Throne. I showed this to a Calvery Chapel individual who stated that God is so much more than that, and when when we go to see God, so much more we will see. They still promote The KJV Only superiority over other corrupt Bible versions as well. I am still unaware that when Jesus Christ asended into Heaven he grew and lost all his facial features and also carry a KJV Bible only if he came to our/your church [ They promote a book publications entitled : Which Bible Would Jesus use ?" along with  "Can you Trust Just One Bible ?" ].

  He is the man on the left. I have been in that room where they are standing. There is a stange atmosphere felt when you go in the building [Chick Publications] maybe it's just me.

I was just looking at some Christmas decorations that are still up, (its only Epiphany for us Catholics), involving some kind of dolls with shapes and heads, but no real markings or shapes to the face. They look eerily like the Chick Lord presented here. My conclusion is not that like it seems suggested about Chick, my wife thinks people have no faces; but that like my wife with her dolls, Chick was emphasizing other aspects in his cartoon. I would suggest that without trying to make a dogmatic statement that Jesus has no face, Chick is trying to make people reflect that it might be intimidating to be judged by God. That is a concept with which I agree. I think his cartoon is effective if that is what he is aiming at. If not, if he is simply trying to teach that Jesus lacks a face, I disagree completely.

I think you give him too much credit and that you gave more thought to this one element of his comic then he did to his entire corpus.
