President Nelson dedicated the Priesthood Restoration Site in Harmony, Pa., newly developed and opened, giving access to the sugar maple grove where John the Baptist appeared to Joseph and Oliver, reconstructed homes of Isaac and Elizabeth Hale and Joseph and Emma Smith, improved access to the Susquehanna River spot where Joseph And Oliver baptized each other, and even the still-active cemetery where the Hales and the infant first-born son of Joseph and Emma are buried. A ton of history here: priesthood restoration, translation of most of the Book of Mormon, reception of revelations that now comprise 15 sections of the Doctrine and Covenants and part of the Pearl of Great Price. This is my longer Church News version; my shorter story appeared yesterday on the Deseret News website and, presumably, in today's print edition. I don't know, because I'm still in New York. I've attached 23 photos. Enjoy. 13

Was going to attend stake conference in Scranton, but I got sick late last night and wasn't feeling better until mid-morning. I've been holed up in the hotel room today catching up on pending assignments, and I'll need to be at the airport by early p.m. tomorrow.

He also ran the prep school there in the mid-1700s. Ever visit that location?

There seem to be a surprising number of LDS who have ancestral links to Lancaster and this general area.

Shots from the back show a fellow sitting to the left with a t-shirt on that has 3-4 jugs on it and writing underneath. Later in the program a sheet of paper is covering most of the back of his shirt.

I am just wondering- calm down.It was odd to see a guy in a t-shirt. And with them covering it up, I just wondered what it said.Not everything is persecution, Scott.

Who cares what somebody in a congregation of 300 or so people has on his T shirt?It strikes me as an exceedingly trivial point.
LDSGuy Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 We went on a trip through PA, NY, and OH back in July. We were near the site, but it was under construction at the time. We went to Palmyra and Kirtland. My wife was able to play the piano in the Kirtland temple while we sang the Spirit of God. It was an amazingly spiritual experience. Wish the priesthood site would have been open. 1
