A Safe And Mature Discussion About Temple Garments?

I had a few questions on some parts and was wondering if there was any information

that could be shared publicly.  The numbers represent the approximate time in minutes

where the quote appears in the video.

1:55 - temple robes are known as the robes of the Holy Priesthood.

Does this mean women hold some form of the priesthood when they wear the robes?

2:10 - white [colour] of the robe symbolizes purity.

What does the green in the same segment symbolize?

2:25 - the simple vestments combine religious symbolism with echos of antiquity

reflect in ancient writings like the Book of Exodus.

Is there anything in the Book of Mormon and the Bible (reflecting New Testament

scripture) where Christians wore these simple (but concealed) vestments?

2:50 - the garment comes in two pieces.

Any reason for two pieces instead of one or four?

3:20 - there is nothing mystical about temple garments.

How does the church define mystical in the sense that other faiths use the term?

Mystical has as its definition,

: having a spiritual meaning that is difficult to see or understand

: of or relating to mystics or mysticism : resulting from prayer or deep thought

3:35 - temple garments are worn by adult members.

What is the youngest age for a person who has worn the temple garments?

Thanks,

Jim

Yes, absolutely.

2:10 - white [colour] of the robe symbolizes purity.

What does the green in the same segment symbolize?

Mortal life.

2:25 - the simple vestments combine religious symbolism with echos of antiquity
reflect in ancient writings like the Book of Exodus.

Allusions and veiled references, but much debate would ensue as to which actually refer to garments and which don't.

Used to be one, now it's two.  No religious reason I am aware of.  Just for convenience.

3:20 - there is nothing mystical about temple garments.

Mystical has as its definition,

I disagree with the broadness of that statement but I understand what they were getting at.

3:35 - temple garments are worn by adult members.

What is the youngest age for a person who has worn the temple garments?

The age of the youngest living endowment on record.  I know in the early days there were many young teens who were endowed.  Scripturally, we could probably make even younger assumptions.

Thanks,
Jim
