It's amazing that we seem to have the need to condemn those with whom we disagree. As an admirer of Ms. Kelly (if loving Kate is wrong, I don't want to be right) and a firm believer in the cause, I think you are dead wrong in your opposition to it. If I heard your view on the matter, I might even find your reasoning to be illogical. But I wouldn't find the need to find you to be a liar in order to disagree with you. Umm, just a little bit of self-righteous indignation this morning. Just to be clear - let's just review that important last sentence I wrote: " It is the simply fact of spinning that is one of the things that turns me off about her and her message." There are many things about how she went about promoting her personal agenda that disturbed me that have nothing to do with the actual cause itself. I reject the cause, but her manner of furthering her cause disturbed me far more than her confusion about teachings and doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ. I don't have to make her a liar; she makes herself a liar and I am objective enough to admit her faults. Some are incapable of doing that and that is their personal problem. I disagree with you for a host of reasons, but I have never read or perceived that you lie to further your own opinions. That is a major difference between you and Ms. Kelly. 2

Well, I wouldn't support women's ordination period. But it is the fact spinning of history that Ordain Women (and KK) engage in that really bothers me the most too.Taking historical events featuring women and ordinances and spinning them to mean women should have priesthood ordination is wrong. Their website/FB page features some truly interesting historical quotes that don't remotely mean what the OW bunch claim. Spin is their specialty. 1

I am fairly ambivalent about her "cause" (though it's interesting that you couch her movement as such, as well as female ordination being an issue which is to be "support(ed)"). As I have said many times, I am open to the possibility of female ordination. I don't think it's part of the Lord's program, but if Pres. Monson were to present a revelation about the matter and seek a sustaining vote from the body of the Saints, I would give it due consideration and prayer. And I think I would end up giving a sustaining vote. But that is neither here nor there. My opposition to Kate Kelly and her movement is based on their rhetoric and tactics being unseemly, disrespectful, irreverent, divisive, evil-speaking, profane, rebellious, dissembling and in bad faith.
