JLHPROF Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 A little light news... http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865624576/Significant-Church-history-discovery-made.html It’s one of the most significant discoveries in Church photographic history. A small, wonderfully preserved daguerreotype (dag) of Wilford Woodruff taken during the Nauvoo-era at about the age of 37 was found and purchased recently on eBay Now, to quote Buckeye "P.S. I respectfully ask that all comments regarding female ordination or gay marriage wait until page 3. Thanks!" 2

JLHPROF Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 That's my colleague Ryan. He works in the cubicle across the aisle from mine. Maybe he can get you a chance to hold the dag. That would be pretty cool - to hold a photo of Pres. Woodruff that he almost certainly held in those final days in Nauvoo. Talk about touching history.

It didn't occur to me to actually handle it. It was in a frame anyway.
