A little light news...

It’s one of the most significant discoveries in Church photographic history. A small, wonderfully preserved daguerreotype (dag) of Wilford Woodruff taken during the Nauvoo-era at about the age of 37 was found and purchased recently on eBay

That's my colleague Ryan.

 

He works in the cubicle across the aisle from mine.

 

Maybe he can get you a chance to hold the dag.  That would be pretty cool - to hold a photo of Pres. Woodruff that he almost certainly held in those final days in Nauvoo.  Talk about touching history.

Too late.

 

He wrote the story last week. And the collector who brought it in took it away.

 

It didn't occur to me to actually handle it.

 

It was in a frame anyway.
