JLHPROF Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Don't worry... He's wrong. It's just that some Mormons need to leave the church to discover that the teaching about the Spirit abandoning them when they do is nonsense. 1
JLHPROF Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 (Are we done using words on this thread now?) Sometimes a shake of the head says more than all the fancy words there are.
Beach Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 It's not your job to forgive her at all. The covenant wasn't made with you. She is your mother you should love her for that alone. Although temple covenants are sacred promises between God and man , man rarely understands his part when making them for a long time , and many don't realize them at all. If she chooses to come back to the church the Lord will of course judge her according to her own understanding and faith. We tend to see ordinances as progression benchmarks and that's good for us but God sees us His eternal children.
ERayR Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Great line. Love it! A skeptical person might respond; control and tithing. A realistic person might reply it is because from time to time sin prevails and someone falls from worthiness.
