The Nehor Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Family puts up with its idiotic, opinionated, ill-informed members. They stand up against the stupidity, but they find a way to love the person (sometimes even socialize him better) in recognition of his divine worth and human limitations in understanding each other's hearts. I feel incredibly lucky. I have family in and out of the church and while some (mostly extended family) have stupid opinions they are smart enough to generally keep them to themselves and I keep my brilliant, well-thought out opinions to myself as well and we all get along fine.
telnetd Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 The whole reason I wanted to learn about Mormons was because I had friends atmy old church always saying such insulting judgments bout Mormons and yet never really investing in knowing anything about them. I felt that was ignorant to judge what you don’t know and worst to say it as a normal part of a conversation. Don’t burn the book unless you really have read it cause it will come back to burn you. Most Christians don't know what Mormons teach. I suggest they read online web pagehttps://www.lds.org/manual/institute?lang=eng and https://www.lds.org/manual/gospel-principles?lang=engThere is so much published by this church. Much of this is probably unknown to Mormons inother countries where it does not exist in their language. Gail
