You bring up a good point regarding a lack of understanding with each groups theology.  I've been reading the LDS theology presented on this site since 2005.  So actually, I was only presenting the theology I learned here!  :)

On this site I learned that ONLY Melchesidec can be exalted, period.  That is the purpose of sealing, to allow the Melchesidec Priesthood member to bring along his wife to this heightened state.   So following this logic, if a woman could receive the Melchesidec Priesthood, she would not need a man to get her there.

Umm....yeah, that's not our beliefs....it may some people's take on it, but I would vehemently disagree....especially with the bolded statement. The first statement is oddly worded but technically kinda true. The bolded is where that "huh??" factor comes in. And by the last you've completely lost me.

What? I've always known that we need our husbands to call us out of our graves. They are the only ones that know our new name in the temple.

You have been veering off into temple content, thread closed.

I didn't say we didn't need our husbands (or vice versa). I disagreed with his idea of purpose to the sealing ceremony and the imagery that it renders.
