Book Of Mormon Maps

This is a map I copied from a church book then added my own understanding of what I read where the cities were to go and then some.

This is all internal evidence, no world map was used.

I ask if you ever made a map like this before to please share. Also I am in the process of making a new map. With some changes like haveing the river turn right in stead of left.

Looks like dozens of maps I have seen published over the years.

It's not in the real world, any where. I made it from reading the Book of Mormon and following along with the story. So you could say its a story map. I like visuals when reading my scriptures, I have even collected a lot of pictures of people to represent people from scripture.

This is Dr. Robert Pates Map he is a very nice guy, I've spoken with him and traded emails plenty of times.  This is a very limited geography model that he supports.  He has some pretty intersting insights on his website.  We agree for sure on the Mesoamerican setting but I tend to favor a larger scale than what he has purposed here.  He had placed a lot of his emphasis on the study of words and names (personal and place names).  He has one of his books, "Mormon Footprint in Mesoamerica" available in pdf. format for free from his website.

I read his book, Mapping the Book of Mormon, which someone gave me as a gift.  Definitely an interesting take.  The FARMS/MI reviewer didn't like it but could only point out one, imho, potentially glaring flaw which Pate rebutted on his site. While I don't necessarily advance Pate's theory, I find it to be just as plausible as anything else out there if not more than most.  Maybe I'm just attracted to cool maps that overlay BoM locations onto real world sites.

Here's a cool map. It shows a narrow neck of land leading into the land northward along with the land of Cumorah as defined by the geographical locations noted in D&C 128:20

Here's another Book of Mormon map. It shows the location of Jerusalem and the Arabia Peninsula which was crossed by the families of Lehi and Ishmael in 8 years and which is approx. 10x larger than Mesoamerica where the Nephites hung out for a 1,000 years because traveling outside of the Mesoamerica Indian Reservation for a 1,000 years was verboten for a Nephite.

Here are two more maps with narrow necks of land. But I have reservations about the accuracy of these.
