Tiki Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Looks like it's as much influenced by Friberg as it is by heartlanders. As has been said here, trying too hard to placate everybody.Edited to add:Looks like David T and I had similar thoughts about Friberg influence.Alma 48:2 doesn't mention the Maya.It only mentions the Lamanites and Nephites of whom the LDS Mesoamericanites in their own Book of Mormon geography theory- claim the Maya never were. It's too bad the LDS Mesoamericanites haven't remembered the new covenant: D&C 84:57.Now you're griping over a church film because you haven't. You will be removed from the thread if you continue to question other people's righteousness.

And embracing somebody's pet theories and cottage industry about Book of Mormon geography has nothing to do with covenants. Has Meldrum taken the film down from his site yet?Afterthought:It would seem there is a fine line between gospel hobbyism and priestcraft. Edited April 19, 2014 by Scott Lloyd
