So apparently there was a musical theatrical production based on the life of "Moroni" back in 1977.

Lol, I saw this performed in all of its cornball glory in the Salt Palace when I was a teen.  The '70s in Utah were gloriously kitschy.  Saturday's Warrior, My Turn on Earth, road shows...  Good times!

I think I have seen it on the BYU channel, though it may have been Abinadi the opera (that is what my memory says it  is, but could there really both of them in the world without it imploding?)
