The Priesthood Of God - Two Views

I saw this talk from an LDS perspective.  When I compare it with

an evangelical perspective (the talk is called "God's At Work", the

pastor gives a biblical perspective for women also having the

priesthood.

 

What do you think as you compare them both?

A written transcript would have been nice. Apparently it is only video. One thing I

noticed is that while Pastor Robbie fully explained the priesthood with his reference

in 1 Peter 2, the Mormon Apostle totally ignored that section of the New Testament.

 

Thomas Monson mentioned it back in 2007 in a GC talk, but he insinuates that Peter

excluded women.

 

""We who hold the priesthood of God and honor it are among those who have been

reserved for this special period in history. The Apostle Peter described us in the

second chapter of 1 Peter, the ninth verse: “Ye are a chosen generation, a royal

priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises

of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light".

 

Peter is addressing the entire church, not only men.
