We had "high winds" and driving rain a few nights ago... back east this would be classed as a Category 1 hurricane...How frightening to see such a tornado approaching... nothing you can do but pray it misses your area... Calm Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 When I was young, I actually looked forward to them...until one almost hit the house when Mom and Dad were gone, took out a large storm window that was cracked and some bricks under my parents' bedroom window. The glass went flying all over to our neighbour's yard---he acted like it was intentional on our part it felt like, but perhaps that was just my child's guilt seeing his resentment of the tornado itself---and my dad being ultimately practical widened the hole and stuck in a permanent air conditioner.
