We all know you are resistant to the truth and full of cognitive dissonance Wade. It just takes new posters a while to get used to the fact that you are unrepentant and satisifed with your self delusions. But we still love you.

I am not so proud that I can't find room in my puny heart to be grateful that you understated my weaknesses. Your love makes the poison-pill go down all the easier. LOL

Thanks, -Wade Englund-

However, I wish he would listen to reason a little more.

Listening to reason takes eyes, ears, and brains. Such are useless to raging dogmatists like me. ;)

While I have seen a share of what appeared to be heavy-handed moderating, and moderation of views that the moderators seem to have a personal dislike for rather than actually breaking the rules, Its not my forum. I generally agree with the OP and haven't really had many problems with the moderating team. If you don't like how they do their volunteer job, going elsewhere is your only viable option. The moderators create the atmosphere of the forum based on their moderation.

At least there is some self awareness.

Actually, I think it is called self-absorption, along the lines of narcissism. This is for me from me: :air_kiss:

Joni Mitchell is GREAT! :clapping:

Maybe the best song ever written...for the poet side of me; I don't usually give such praise, well maybe to Tomas Markham. Or is it Edwin Markham...see blog link, I am not good at linking from my IPad, and sitting at my computer is too hard since broke back. Edited by Bill “Papa” Lee

Stay away a few hours and miss so much.

I know the five minutes I am away the good stuff happens.

The owners and moderators work for free when they could easily make money. As many views as this site gets they could make a good chunk of change off advertising.

#8 Try picking a username that doesn't make you sound like a jerk from the beginning.

I've known jerks with many names, and I've also known some nice people with the same name as any jerk I've ever known.

MoningStar, though. Hmm, okay, that's a good one. At this point I haven't known any jerks by that name, but that name is also already taken so I can't use that name as my own name on this board.

Besides taking the name of a jerk offers a certain type of challenge and I don't want there to be any challenge I can't overcome.

Doesn't "morning star" somehow relate to "lucifer?" Hmmm, talk about a jerky type name. 8P:diablo: :diablo: :diablo:8P

I don't know anything about whatever fireworks took place. I don't follow along here very much these days. Since folks are dispensing posting advice, i just want to add something even if just to know that I "said" it.

If you are a Never and see comments that you find offensive or simply think are wrong about your "brand" of Christian beliefs. Try asking questions instead of jumping to the conclusion that folks are being intentionally offensive. Make an attempt to promote better understanding, for without understanding there really is little to no potential for communication or exchange of ideas.

Unless you're just here chilin' after work, in which case...carry on!

While I am not a perfect diviner of posters intent - some times its pretty obvious someone is here to tell us were going to hell.

I'm a Never. Does it seem to you as if I were here to tell you that you're going to hell?

Hint: You'll never see that come out of this keyboard.

Great thoughts, Kevin.

Let me also add that the feature to block posts from certain users who annoy/infuriate/bother you with their comments and/or posting style, is a godsend. It makes reading the board much more enjoyable when you don't have to sift through posts that are just likely to tick you off.

From what I can tell, about 99% of posters have my posts blocked and I don't blame them. :)

I am the 1% who reads them...maybe not what your wishing for, I on't know six people in my new Ward, and injury keeps me away often, so I stay on the outside looking in, most days this is my window to the world. So sad living on a big lake, but very isolating.

What's a Never? The source of all knowledge (Google) failed to provide an answer.

Never Mormon, I suspect.

Wasn't taking about you there...
