This seems to me to be a very strong argument that it is.Of course truth is relative, based upon one's biases........ and once a truth is refuted, or else goes out of fashion or gets too old for relevance it becomes obsolete......... witness earth center of Solar System......
why me Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I am not sure where the source of the belief that the scriptures are perfect comes from, for even Joseph Smith is quoted as saying, "I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.” The term "most correct" suggests that it is not completely correct--not perfect. So finding errs within the Book of Mormon only proves what Joseph Smith is on the record as saying.This is often overlooked by many people, especially former members who have left the church. They seem to miss that interpretation of most correct book and emphasis that it must be a perfect book. You gave a great understanding of that term.
