I was surprised to see that alot of southern states were fairly high on the list. I also didn't realize how high up Washington was.

Washington state has a lot of members. Vancouver BC has 3 million people and 3 stakes. the same population in Washington has 10 stakes. My city of 30,000 has one ward, a small town across the line of the same population has 4.

In my county in Washington state (Thurston), the LDS are second in numbers of members, after the Catholics. We have two stakes within the country borders, total general population about 100k.
