Texas Christians Rally To Help Atheist In Nativity Scene Controversy

I thought this story was really interesting. Apparently some Christians raised money to help a local and well known atheist with living expenses because he's dealing with a detached retina. The man, Patrick Greene, was well known because he had previously protested a nativity scene on government property.

The great part of the story is how it illustrates that we can disagree with people and still be kind and loving towards them.

Indeed. And when other churches relabel the aid the Church gives them in order to obscure its true source, we can swallow our pride and admit that it doesn't matter where people who get the aid think it came from, as long as it sates their hunger and meets their other needs.
