I Will Likely Have To Look For A Different To Church To Serve In.

He said in a raised and rapid voice... "There a various groups throughout the world that seek to destroy the Bible.. Islam, atheism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jehovah Witnesses, Mormonism..... But the Word of God does not change." then he proceeded with the altar call.

I would be curious to know what he meant by "destroy". We've done more than just about anybody in the last 100 years to keep the KJV out there.

It is so hard when new pastors come. I remember all too well what that was like back at my previous Church. There were always things you liked and didn't like about them. What was worse was when you had a great interim pastor, but you couldn't hire them due to them being an interim.

I understand your thoughts on not wanting your family to be the subjects of helping this pastor grow. Your wife would be hurt, but could probably take it, however the children would have a harder time dealing with it.

Hi Emeliza,

Been awhile, hope life is good with you.

Mrs. Mudcat has expressed that he would have to get fairly abrasive to wrankle her, but neither one of us want him scaring the hell out of the kids or something. I had a discussion with our music guy about it, he seems to think I may be over reacting a bit and doesn't imagine the pastor is going to have that sort of focus. The music guy has more experience with him than I do, so hopefully his judgement is right.

I am hoping things will work out but I am also prepared with a course of action and direction if they don't

Regards,

I hope your music pastor is correct and it was just an unfortunate statement in passing...

Of course I'd love for you to receive a personal revelation that you too should become a Mormon.

Short of that I hope you and your family find your new pastor to be a true man of God and your current church remains a good home for you.

...But don't completely discount the idea of becoming a Mormon! :tribal:
