But the Word of God does not change." then he proceeded with the altar call.I would be curious to know what he meant by "destroy". We've done more than just about anybody in the last 100 years to keep the KJV out there.

There were always things you liked and didn't like about them. What was worse was when you had a great interim pastor, but you couldn't hire them due to them being an interim.I understand your thoughts on not wanting your family to be the subjects of helping this pastor grow. Your wife would be hurt, but could probably take it, however the children would have a harder time dealing with it. 1

I had a discussion with our music guy about it, he seems to think I may be over reacting a bit and doesn't imagine the pastor is going to have that sort of focus. The music guy has more experience with him than I do, so hopefully his judgement is right.I am hoping things will work out but I am also prepared with a course of action and direction if they don'tRegards,Mudcat
KevinG Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I hope your music pastor is correct and it was just an unfortunate statement in passing...Of course I'd love for you to receive a personal revelation that you too should become a Mormon. Short of that I hope you and your family find your new pastor to be a true man of God and your current church remains a good home for you....But don't completely discount the idea of becoming a Mormon!
