Questing Beast Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Humor is intended, obviously. But isn't God humorful, in a BIG, MEGAHUGE way? If not, then from whence comes our humor? If the pastor was praying specifically for the occasion, perhaps he was poking fun at the tradition of opening such an event as a NASCAR race with prayer in the first place? We are a funny, honey-bunch of stink weeds. "Boogidee boogidee boogidee, AMEN!" Heehee....
blackstrap Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Perhaps the Pastor should pasda torch to someone who isn't pastis time.
JeremyOrbe-Smith Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) This is clearly the wrong version of this prayer. Here is the correct one: Edited September 21, 2011 by JeremyOrbe-Smith
The Nehor Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 This isn't a prayer. This is theatrics with the pretense of prayer added. His message wasn't for God; it was for the listeners. Calling it prayer is silly and irreverent. 2
