HeatherAnn
I have this self-centered theory that lately, whoever I cheer for wins. Anybody need cheering? I went to every one of my son's soccer games except one... the last one, which was the only one they lost.I had my Utes shirt on, was cheering & they wipped BYU's toosh like there was no tomorrow!I even felt bad for BYU players & fans. Garden Girl
I love BYU sports and watch almost everything... what concerns me is their going independent for football and wanting to play other, bigger teams... they'll have to do better than the Utes game to be a viable opponent in coming games.GG Link to comment

HeatherAnn
I think this is an excellent take on the problem: BYU Will Always Be the UnderdogI'm not sure of the statistic of ages of BYU players compared with those of other teams, but I imagine BYU players taking time out to go on a mission affects their playing. That article is "excellent" if you choose to have blinders on & believe that just because somebody goes to BYU, they refrain from any "worldy" activities. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1195764/postsAnd I know, personally, that illegal drugs are available among BYU-approved housing. The caption above your avatar picture reads, "Truth is a choice." In a way, that's true - just depends on what perspective you decide to look at it from. Link to comment
sweetpotatoh
Jake Heaps is just not a good qb right now. The d is above average. My impression is that Heaps is a legend in his own mind and he doesn't have the skills to back it up(yet). I think they would be 0-4 if not for the d bailing them out, by forcing turnovers. The way they are playing I don't think they can beat too many teams, the Utah State game scares me. USU is improving and if they can change the culture of losing in Logan USU will be great once again. Link to comment
Garden Girl
Well, last night's game against Central Florida Univ was great and they played much better (it sounded like this was real time and not a replay from some time ago). Hope they will continue to do so... if not, do they return to the previous conference? Or just always lose?Anyway, I'm still a Cougar through and through...GG Link to comment
