kolipoki09 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Friends- As some might have noticed previously, I was unable to attend this year's FAIR Conference and for good reason. My wife was at full-term, and I didn't want to risk the three-hour drive to Sandy and be too far away for comfort. This morning at 11:10 after a six hour labor, my wife gave birth to a beautiful 8 lb. 19 in. baby girl. We've named her Leah - a name my wife and I have always loved. Given the great distances between our family members, many of whom have traveled here for her birth, we've opted to do her baby blessing at home next week. I may not be posting for a while, but I wish you all well. For WalkerW and Gohan who met Leah before she was born, thanks for all of your encouragement! 3
Gohan Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Yeah bro! Congrats to you guys! I'll look forward to meeting her in the fall.
Garden Girl Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Hello Kolipoki...I trust mother and daughter are doing well... I add my congratulations. And Leah is a beautiful name.GG
WalkerW Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Can't wait to meet her now that she has been born!
Bill “Papa” Lee Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.Psalms 127: 3Congrats brother…
kolipoki09 Posted August 16, 2011 Author Posted August 16, 2011 Thanks for everyone's comments and kind wishes. Leah is doing very well. We came home from the hospital yesterday and she's making adjustments to viva ex utero. Several months ago we contemplated naming her Lavina, but alas, that might sound a little too Sunstone-ish. 1
Doctor Steuss Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Congratulations!Make sure to give her a good shakeing, whiskey, cigar,... hug (hugs are kosher, right -- never been good at this whole "baby" thing) for me.Is this your first? 1
Deborah Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 A wonderful blessing. She will have you wrapped around her tiny little finger.
kolipoki09 Posted August 16, 2011 Author Posted August 16, 2011 Is this your first? She is. She's also working on a Ph.D. in Lactation and Pooponomics at the moment. 1
Doctor Steuss Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 She is. She's also working on a Ph.D. in Lactation and Pooponomics at the moment. Ah, an overachiever.I imagine her combination of those subjects is also dismantling the laws of thermodynamics... 2
