I can't turn them off (I would if I could), so they just pile up, twenty or thirty every day. I get personal "so-and-so send you a private message" or whatever it is, and those are useful (and do not go to junk). Lehi
Deborah Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I don't get email notifications. I shut them off from the beginning. You can set whether or not you get email notifications by going into profile settings and notifications.

LehiI am not getting email notifications of replies on a thread- and I do want them and use them-They just keep turning themselves off I hate having to go to a thread and figuring out which threads I have replied to and if anyone has replied to my reply etcSo mods could you please fix it? (again!)

I recognize this error, and try not to send more than once. But it's happened before, and doubtless will happen again. Lehi

The notification is not instant. I get so many I've had to send them to junkWe made an announcement and pinned it for over a month that this was not the way to do things. If you get our email account banned from getting accepted from a server you more than likely will get banned from the site so go into your user settings and make the adjustments to your notifications on how frequent you want them.Btw I checked the system and I am getting the notification emails and people are registering so I know it is working.Nemesis

But I found the place for controling the messages I get, and if it works as you say, it shouldn't be a problem any more.Lehi
mfbukowski Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 Hey thanks whoever!Working perfectly now, and thanks to all for the suggestions.It just seems to periodically turn itself off- and on, and seems highly correlated with the "gateway error" stuff which goes on during high traffic times.But when it comes to tech, I am lucky just to get my posts out- so thanks all!

But, alas, it's been a continual embarrassment for me. (Never screwed up when it mattered in the parade field, though. We had one poor sergeant who couldn't remember the command "Present, Arms!" and tried to make "Hand, Salute!" suffice.
