Rivers Posted May 5, 2011 Author Posted May 5, 2011 Am I the only one who thinks that the Fall mentioned in the scriptures was not so much a physical event, but a spiritual one?No you're not. I think it was spiritual. The Fall was essentially a seperation from God's presence.
David T Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 We all were eternal beings, in God's presence, who couldn't progress. We all chose to enter (fall) into mortal, flesh and blood bodiesWe all chose, at one point, to act contrary to the will of God, and "spiritually" fall.We all eventually need to choose to look to and embrace the Atonement to compensate for and empower us to overcome these decisions. The fall wasn't a singular historical one time event, it's a regularly occurring personal experience that happens multiple times a day, everyday, throughout the world. And with that, I'm out of this thread.
