Why/why not?

Why/why not?If the Evangelicals are correct, and all we have to do is accept Jesus into our hearts and be saved.... we've done that... and then some. So I fail to see how doing more or living to a more stringent code is going to do you harm.

Those deceived by the doctrines of men in this world, enjoy less glory from the throne of God and have less responsibilty in working with Jesus in His continuing work. So while you may be saved it doesn't mean you will enjoy a fullness of blessings. Do you disagree?

Why/why not?Yes, because to have a firm testimony of the official teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints one has to:1) Have faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our chosen Lord and Savior2) That he died on the cross3) That he resurrected 3 days later and lives4) That through his death on the Cross he atoned for our sins, and through his resurrection will all be resurrected and have the chance to obtain eternal life through Christ. These are the requirements of all Christianity to obtain salvation, so I fail to see how Latter-day Saints are barred from salvation because we have other doctrine besides these doctrine. Every Church has other doctrine besides the above mentioned core doctrine of Christianity, I do not understand how a proclaimed Christian can say a Latter-day Saint is not a Christian nor can ineligible for salvation.

I will reiterate that according to the requirements of Christianity a Mormon is saved and can inherit heaven according to the core doctrine Mormonism and other Christian sects share.

I do wonder who most of the LDS are really trusting,God or belonging to their church? Who do you give credit to first? Your priesthood, your Gospel or Jesus? Personally I think those who sit on the pews and think that God is going to save them just because they are going to church are going to have a rough time before the Father. It all comes back to those things I heard every Fast and Testimony meeting about the Book of Mormon, the Mormon prophets, and the church being true. As I look back now I wonder if those people also believed that it was because of Jesus they had eternal life, and not because of the church.

Why/why not?The doctrine shows that all who come to earth except sons of Perdition will be saved in the kingdom of Heaven, some after suffering in hell. The real question is what degree of glory one will receive.
