Well you've seen the movies like "Deep Impact" and the conspiracys that the government hides information from the general public so that the ellite (eg. scientists, mathmaticians, politicians, chemists, muscians, et al) can hide in an under ground bunker and wait out the storm.

So today some one posted this on another board and I thought I would share it hear too.

Dr Jones pointed this out to me for those interest in the topic of Nibiru, you might find this interesting..

Regarding the video posted, I certainly don't doubt planet nibiru's existence. I do question the claims about aliens on it and stuff. But I certainly don't doubt the possibility of it passing by the earth and causing all sorts of natural phenomena. I don't doubt that it could be the grand sign spoken of by Joseph Smith saying the world will say it's a planet or comet, etc.

Anyone know where the reference to Joseph Smith saying anything about a planet or comet as a sign of the times?

What do yall think about Google Sky censoring out the star/planets existance from the public?

Discussion.

I had a very vivid dream a couple of years ago. In the dream a planet came towards the Earth and stopped just above the Earth. Military from around the world were deployed. They found a planet with villages and houses but no inhabitants. After I told my wife about the dream, she had a similar dream and asked what it was. She believes she was told it was the Telestial Kingdom taking its place, because the Celestial and Terrestrial will be upon the paradisiacal earth. I am leaving my options open as far as the interpretation.

The Nibiru Collision is something that is unrelated to Mormonism. Indeed, Joseph Smith never spoke of a planet X or Nibiru or anything like it. But that won't stop conspiracy nuts from making connections. Nibiru is Kolob. Sitchin vs the Mormon LDS

Hey thanks for the info. I should have looked there first. However, I did try snopes. Nothing there yet that I could find.

I liked this from your link:

The impact of the public fear of the Nibiru collision has been especially felt by professional astronomers. Mike Brown now says that Nibiru is the most common pseudoscientific topic he is asked about.[31]

David Morrison, director of SETI, CSI Fellow and Senior Scientist at NASA's Astrobiology Institute at Ames Research Center, says he receives 20

Comets have traditionally been used a harbingers of doom. The earth is actually hit by billions of their remnants every day. Big ones not so often, and planet killers seldom. Doesn't mean that it is impossible, but it is highly unlikely in human time scales.

As far a "The Govmint" hiding the information, any serious student and a medium priced telescope could pick one out. In fact that's how most of the comets we know about are first discovered.

Here's a hypothetical for you. Say some astronomer today discovers a planet killer headed right for the earth. Further it is less than 2 years away. What could he possibly do or say that would help?

TPJS, J SMITH :286-87

Judah must return, Jerusalem must be rebuilt, and the temple, and water come out from under the temple, and the waters of the Dead Sea be healed. It will take some time to rebuild the walls of the city and the temple, &tc.; and all this must be done before the Son of Man will make His appearance. There will be wars and rumors of wars, signs in the heavens above and on the earth beneath, the sun turned into darkness and the moon to blood, earthquakes in divers places, the seas heaving beyond their bounds; then will appear one grand sign of the Son of Man in heaven. But what will the world do? They will say it is a planet, a comet, etc. But the Son of man will come as the sign of the coming of the Son of Man, which will be as the light of the morning cometh out of the east.

There is so many amateur astronomers discovering things that the "official" astronomers haven't yet gotten around to, that I doubt very seriously the gov could find something as obvious as a collision course planet (or asteroid) that the amateurs wouldn't eventually uncover.

The sign of the coming of the Son of Man will be something that is clearly discovered, but its interpretation as a true sign will not be so obvious.
