  1. I finally got Zen from the library! It has been on hold for a LONG time! I'm listening to it now. I'm never going to be traveling by motorcycle, but we do love traveling those backroads like he talks about.
  2. I'm not the right person to answer that question, but it my be helpful to the person who is the right person - best version for what? To learn the church's doctrine? For commentary that helps you understand what is going on histoeically and culrurally? For easy to understand language?
  3. Plus the history of how it came to be.
  4. I'm sorry, I'm just not finding it. Maybe it was from before 1971 and that's why I can't find it?
  5. I'm on my phone currently and googling and can't find it. I first saw it when I had a question about the atonement on the cross. I asked my stake president who was CES and he asked someone else in CES and it was on a long paper list of quotes that he gave me. I no longer have that now, sorry. If I remember when I have time on the computer I will do another search.
  6. You're welcome. I know Mcconkie and Marion G Romney also used "recurred", but if I remember right McConkie may have been using it because Talmage did.
  7. "Recurred" was one of the words from it that really had me with questions for decades. Here is a link to the church quoting it along with the page number: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/ensign/2006/04/from-the-garden-to-the-empty-tomb?lang=eng I haven't tried looking anything up about "infinite".
  8. I've been wondering if I have been reading you wrong. Real question: are you trying to make others feel stupid? The words you use sometimes feel like a bat over my head and I don't understand why you would say things this way if you knew how they were perceived.
  9. Someone once asked me what the church thinks of "with his stripes we are healed" and that really got my mind going. There is so much with it all to unpack with the things the church teaches and how.
  10. How do you know they are dictating to God and not expressing testimony of what they have come to know through the Spirit?
  11. I'm looking for any subject and not too technical. I don't need an easy read, but I also don't want a book that will be a tough read. Just an all around good non-fiction book.
