okay. clearly there is an American verses the rest of the world problem here, based on the responses I've received. Responses that absolutely, completely missed the point of my post and were responding to SOMETHING, but not anything that was actually in my post at all.  You guys have at it.  I'm outa here.

Shoot, don't go so soon. Post in the Three Word Story and get enough posts to be able to start topics in General Discussions. We need more Canadians. We have Calm who use to live there and Duncan, that probably (sorry if wrong) same feelings.

There's also a topic called Christian Nationalism that is still not locked that hopefully you could post on w/o bringing political things there. It's a very fine line, but get why this board doesn't want to deal with it. Remember the old adage not to talk politics/religion, it's tough when we have such strong feelings over the two.

I fear that we have entered a new reality wherein we can no longer clearly delineate topics of politics and religion. When people in the political realm insist on dragging religion into their what they claim are truths and lies, how can we just stand by and let them hijack their distorted idea of Christianity to serve their political purposes?

When I hear some loud pervayers of toxic "Christian Nationalist" ideas use as their justification the teachings of Christ, as distorted through their hatred and bigotry, I feel physical pain that these liars dare to spout scripture to somehow legitimize their ugly rhetoric.

This is no longer a political issue. it is a truth vs. lies issue. Which side will we be on?

We actually have a thread on the main board discussing Christian nationalism.  Maybe you can find it and participate.
