You'll never hear me complain about that part of the church nor much else, I have that high an opinion of them.  You guys showed the natives and Polynesians the kindness most others here never did.  If it wasn't for the church mom would have never had a chance at an education, BYUH is such a beautiful place.

I am sorry but there is no comparison to the treatment of Polynesians and native Americans.  Polynesians never lost their land to LDS pioneers.  Polynesians never had any of their people killed by members of the Church.  Polynesians never had their culture almost completely destroyed.  The Church actually did it right with Polynesians and should be given credit for that.  That is why the treatment of native Americans by the Church is even more shocking.  It just supports the truth that the Church and it's members can do wonderful things and terrible things practically at the same time.

That was my point, moms a local and compared to the others yeah you guys were awesome.  Have some retired friends who worked for the bureau of Indian Affairs, how people here treated the natives was awful.  My German speaking grandfather was abhorred at how natives were treated by Midwestern people, sadly that tradition of racism/bigotry is alive and well there.  I find it fitting how the same people who run their mouths off about right of conquest now panic over POC finally getting a taste of middle class life and Islamic communities producing doctors and scientists while these same people seem to have one excuse after another as to why their children can't succeed.

Pardon the obvious spite, I do try to watch it nowadays but that is still a bit of a trigger and always will be, I have no sympathy for people like that, may God judge them accordingly, far as I can tell it sure looks to me like He's finally had it.
