JLHPROF Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) I mentioned in another post that my family took a walk by the Salt Lake Temple last week. Thought people might be interested to see the three pictures I will post here. I found this first one fascinating to be able to see the uncovered rough stones on the SE corner. ETA having trouble finding a way to add all 3 pics. Working on it. Edited March 5, 2021 by JLHPROF 2

I hope the church will have these documented for the Liahona or something. Maybe a display of photos somewhere, it's right up their alley of expertise.
webbles Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 https://churchofjesuschristtemples.org/salt-lake-temple/photographs/ has a lot of photos of the temple under renovation. 3

Thanks for linking that. They have a similar picture of the sandstone foundation on the Northwest side. Being able to see that is a highlight of this process for me. It was such a big issue for the early saints starting on the temple. Wouldn't it be something if we could see the cornerstones that Brigham laid? I believe at least one of them was a record stone like the capstone. ETA - I guess they already emptied it in 1993. Guess I missed that. https://www.deseret.com/2010/11/16/20153519/salt-lake-temple-site-held-1847-artifacts I remember them opening the capstone in 2020. Edited March 5, 2021 by JLHPROF 1
