SCOTUS ruling: Another win for religious freedom

This is great news. Those who violate religious freedom can now be liable for monetary damages. Hit them in the pocketbook is an effective means of enforcement.

It’s how the law was written. It’s an interesting case because usually you can not sue individual government employees who are doing their jobs.

This might motivate some of them to push back on employers who make unconstitutional demands.

Except for Justice Barrett, who could not rule because she was not yet on the court when the arguments were made. My guess, though, is she would not have dissented.
