rodheadlee Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 The fire started last night about two miles away it quickly became a hundred acres. Around 50 homes were evacuated. They put 265 men on the fire line. This morning we were greeted by several airplanes making fire retardant drops. By noon the fire appeared to be 100% contained, no homes damaged. I worried about the horses there are a couple of horse ranches over there. I admire this one dun whenever I drive by. 2
rodheadlee Posted October 16, 2020 Author Posted October 16, 2020 Well it's my mistake it was only 34% contained by 2 p.m. today but they did water drops in the dark last night with helicopters. 1
Calm Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 It was weird watching our mountain burn out our front windows. It didn’t even really smell of smoke much at times even though it would have taken me 15 minutes to walk to the fire line at times. 1
