Please, help with using ngrams for origin of the term "Same-sex attraction"

So if I understand this correctly, the likely first appearance in English was around 1980 (at least in the books catalogued by google)...but how do I find where this occurred?

https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=Same-sex+attraction&year_start=1800&year_end=2000&corpus=15&smoothing=3&share=&direct_url=t1%3B%2CSame - sex attraction%3B%2Cc0

Or is this a total misuse and is there a better way to track down where it was originally used?

Funny, I was looking at the same thing this morning. The earliest site appears to occur somewhere between 1909-1915, but those references don't show up on any of the books indexed.

The oldest reference I was able to find was in 1969, from the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research, Publications Volume 146.

There's a book by an LDS author in 2015 that Google, for some strange reason, is showing as dating to 1878 but that's obviously a mistake.
