Avatar4321 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 I was just reading a blog earlier about an alleged prophecy made in the Book of Enoch: Quote "But when they write down truthfully all my words in their languages, and do not change or diminish anything from my words but write them all down truthfully – all that I first testified concerning them; then I know another mystery, that books will be given to the righteous and the wise to become a cause of joy and uprightness and much wisdom. and to them shall the books be given, and they shall believe in them and rejoice over them, and then shall all the righteous who have learnt therefrom all the paths of uprightness be recompensed” (Enoch104:1113). Couple questions: Is it a real quote? could it be legit? if so how would we get a fuller context?
clarkgoble Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 It's a real quote from the Charles translation of 1 Enoch 104. Is it a real prophecy? I doubt it but who knows the source that was then put into 1 Enoch.

The reference is to Ethiopic Enoch, which was once part of the official Jewish and Christian Canon of Scripture -- specifically 1 Enoch 104:11-13, which you quoted. You can find it translated by R. H. Charles online at http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/boe/boe108.htm .
Qliphitus Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 It is a real quote, yes. The books of Enoch are incredibly interesting, also containing significance to certain Occult literature (much like Genesis, Ezekiel and Revelation)

What constitutes a "real quote" or "real scripture" for that matter? What makes it "legit " ? Those are questions I've been asking my whole life! Moroni 10 answered it!
