Eutopia Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 To all the families that have been hurt by the church's stance on homosexuality. I wish to give you a gift. I want to speak to your heart first, not your mind. Does the church's stance on homosexuality feel like love, light, and wisdom? Does it bring your families closer together with a greater understanding of one another so that love, understanding and acceptance may fill your home, heart and life? I say it does not, and that in fact it tears families apart with pain and alienation from one another. Both mentally and spiritually. Now I wish to speak to your mind. If you can see how this is true. How then do you reconcile this "Truth", with what the current leadership is teaching? Simple..... They are not speaking for God. The real Evil in this is the membership and leadership who discourages open and honest discussion on the subject. Please consider my words and reflect on them through prayer to feel and know my words as Truth. Eutopia

Eutopia There are numerous examples of people following their emotions and winding up on the wrong side of the truth. Men and women fall in love with the wrong type of person, maybe unfaithful types or abusive, but keep following their hearts rather than braking away. Feuds have been started because a family will follow a member even though that member is in the wrong. When one starts praying from any emotional perspective, "families are being ripped apart" in this case, the answer that will likely come based upon the person's emotions rather than the Holy Ghost. This subject has been debated here and elsewhere with predictable results. And, in case anyone is wondering, I feel the leaders of the church are speaking for God. Glenn 1

I can tolerate a lot of things, but one thing that pushes me over the ledge is ignorance of scripture and the teachings of Jesus Christ. I reject this cotton candy, rainbow-filled world of saccharine sweet smorgasbord of emotional goo while repeating the most overused and misunderstood word in the English language, love. It takes a mental midget to fall for this half-baked philosophy. What defeats it utterly is a study of the NT. If that does not do it then you are not understanding common English. Focus on what love is; what sin is; what Jesus defines as where our commitment should be - focused on him or on your fellow man. It pushes my buttons when I read/hear this degree of really mindless babbling. 1
