Hey. I'm old...and I had to look that reference up. ;)

 

Still, a blanket pardon does require that some illegal act have been committed, or that some hint of one has. (shrug) Ah, well.

 

At least nobody is accusing this 'dream person' of issuing indulgences to himself.

No, actually he quit.  It was a volunteer job, and he voluntarily quit it.  It was a gutsy move, but apparently it worked for him.
