The language in OD2 is all male centric, for example, "all of our brethren who are worthy may receive the priesthood, " "we have pleaded long and earnestly in behalf of these, our faithful brethren" "the long-promised day has come when every faithful, worthy man in the Church may receive the holy priesthood, with power to exercise its divine authority, " "Accordingly, all worthy male members of the Church may be ordained to the priesthood without regard for race or color." There is nothing in the OD2 that refers to the black temple ban against women. Why were there any restrictions on black women receiving the blessings of the temple endowment? Hostility and resentment...racism.

I recall reading that book some time ago. It’s a good one. I don’t recall those lines but they seem like great fits to me
