I might have misunderstood or heard wrong (I was trying to multitask while listening and was cleaning out my office :)).

Yes, he said that the person giving him the video stated that manager's voice was "very recognizable" and wanted to protect him.

Yes, I thought that was interesting.  I also find it interesting that the Deseret News was the first to write about the video (from what I saw...).

Thanks for summerizing some of the podcast information.  I'm going to try to listen to it this weekend.  It sounds like it's informative!

It's not really a good idea to threaten the life of manager of the premises where one lives, no matter how one feels about such management or how many problems the two parties have had or might have.  (Such threats, even standing alone, might be criminally actionable, let alone being violations of the Honor Code)  Frankly, I'm tired of "gracious" apartment living, and I've had my share of problems with management over the years, but I've also realized that I've got to pick my battles carefully ... especially in a jurisdiction in which inquiry regarding alleged wrongdoing by landlords usually ends after a court asks a tenant, "Well, did you sign a lease?  Yes?"  End of discussion.

I agree, although there are plenty of reasons to be angry when a landlord does things not listed in the least and it's hard to get out of the lease. I think there are a ton of very justifiable complaints about the type of apartments that are BYU approved for singles. That doesn't justify going into over the top hyperbole though. (Especially when on film)
