Honestly I bought Daily Verse way back in 2012. They want you to pay for a new version each year. The current version I linked to is $2.99 for six months and $3.99 for a year. But I'm still using the old 2012 version. It doesn't do linear reading but has a different scripture and GA quote each day. The benefit is that they are usually important or quotable scriptures rather than just a linear read through. (I like the linear read through but then I just read in the regular scripture program) The main problem is that LDS is a pretty tiny market. So it's hard for developers to make it worth their time. Although to be fair these apps don't exactly take a lot of work. I sometimes swear I would write my own if I had the free time. Then I come here or to T&S and post. Edited July 7, 2017 by clarkgoble

They have been around for about 10 years and when they first started it was free and it did work well. I guess it was going so well that they decided to start making some money off it.
