The difference is that going to Disneyland does not have as its object the intent to enrich oneself at someone else's expense...

$100 a day tickets....not so sure.  Anyone 10 and older is an adult in terms of costs.  10$ for a corn dog and chips?  3.50$ for a bottle of water?

I have an extreme bias here.  I hate theme parks, including and especially Disneyland (crowds, endless lines, people in costumes where I can't see their faces..My idea of hell.

I think the problem with gambling for most people is the culture surrounding it...

I would hope that what I said earlier about lesson learned would not be taken by anyone to condone the act, but rather to learn *something* from the past mistake...akin to the Nephite plea that from their imperfections, rather than condemn, we instead learn to be more wise than they had been.

Notwithstanding your disenchantment with the Magic Kingdom there is no real comparison here to one individual seeking to deprive another of his means without providing anything of value in return. Again, predatory. Corrosive to the spirit and character.
