The Bible does claim to be pure and perfectly preserved in Psalm 12:6-7

The Bible didn't even exist when Psalms were written.
This is like that old argument about the canon being closed using the scripture in Revelation that only refers to Revelation as meaning the entire Bible.

The Bible is NOT a book.  It is a collection of books, and treating it as one complete book straight from God is not even "Biblical".

Your premise is an incorrect assumption.

Are there not false prophets, false Christs and false doctrines?

Why would be so difficult to see there are also false scriptures?

The Bible does claim to be pure and perfectly preserved in Psalm 12:6-7

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

God's words are pure when they proceed forth from God.  That does not mean man can't corrupt those words after they are written down.  No mention of the Bible here.

Where in this passage does is the word "perfectly".  Much of the Bible has been preserved but nothing to suggest that it was done perfectly.

"We are all aware that there are errors in the Bible due to faulty translations and ignorance on the part of the translators, but the hand of the Lord has been over this volume of Scripture nevertheless, and it is remarkable that it has come down to us in the excellent condition in which we find it." (Joseph Fielding Smith, "Doctrines of Salvation" Vol. 3, p. 191)

Every time, bar non, the bible mentions the word of God, it is always spoken. Nowhere is the bible ever mentioned, and nowhere is the bible referred to as the word of God. The word of God is what god says. The bible is someones interpretation of what was said. Please show me in the bible where it says the bible is the word of god. At bet the scriptures are considered inspired and profitable. These are pretty poor endorsements.  Saving Private Ryan was inspired by events from World War 2, and it was certainly profitable. This does not make it scripture nor at all reliable has history.

What guarantees do you have that Paul was not a false prophet?
