Following The Prophet Until You Get To The Gate Where Christ Employs No Servant

To start our journey on the straight and narrow path, the gate by which we enter is baptism. At the end of the straight and narrow path is another gate, the gate where Jesus Christ employs no servant. He alone is the Judge. The Savior employs many servants to help us in our journey on the straight and narrow path so that we will be worthy of celestial glory when we get to the end.

Some people believe Christ has no need to employ any servants to help us in our journey. They believe people who follow the prophet are allowing a man to come between them and Jesus Christ. They insist that we should follow Jesus Christ only.

Here is a list of men who followed the prophet until they became the prophet, after which they were led by Jesus Christ.

1. Brigham Young

2. John Taylor

3. Wilford Woodruff

4. Lorenzo Snow

5. Joseph F. Smith

6. Heber J. Grant

7. George Albert Smith

8. David O. McKay

9. Joseph Fielding Smith

10. Harold B. Lee

11. Spencer W. Kimball

12. Ezra Taft Benson

13. Howard W. Hunter

14. Gordon B. Hinckley

15. Thomas S. Monson

Anyone who says that they have no need to follow the prophet and that they are led only by Jesus Christ is not doing what all the Latter-day prophets have done.

The prophet is being led by Jesus Christ, and if we follow the prophet, we will be following Jesus Christ.

Hello Tony...

This type of topic should probably be in the Gen Discussions forum because there are those who might offer a differing view, and the Social forum is not to have debates...

In the Social Forum, I can start a new topic by clicking where it says "Start New Topic." But in the General Discussions forum, that tab says, "You cannot start a new topic."

What does one have to accomplish before one can post in the General Discussions forum? Is there a "probationary period" or a certain number of posts that are required? Or does one have to accumulate a certain number of "Reputation Points"?

I have to like your cat.

If you don't have one, you're completely out of luck. :search:

(In seriousness, I see that bluebell answered your question, and I'm merely a pedestrian here like you, who has no say in who gets what posting rights. Welcome to the forum. :acute: )

Speaking to the OP:

The servants employed begin with Adam and continue to our day, not just the 15 Presidents of the restored Church...also the Apostles of the NT and the 100 called during the restoration...exempting those who were excommunicated, there were a bunch in the early Church.
