omni Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Which specific BoA conclusions are you referring to?
Mike Reed Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) Its just a joke... not know whether he is unknowingly.... the question is loaded... this is the sort of question he asked me in the bushman/givens seminar a couple years ago. Edited February 24, 2014 by Mike Reed
Calm Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Oh, I thought he had just asked you outright if you knew that one of your sources was dependent on Hoffmann's forgeries.
stemelbow Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Its just a joke... not know whether he is unknowingly.... the question is loaded... this is the sort of question he asked me in the bushman/givens seminar a couple years ago. My goodness...talk about holding personal grudges for a while. But lol...I was like, what the garbage is he trying to say?
Scott Lloyd Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Its just a joke... not know whether he is unknowingly.... the question is loaded...It's the sort of awkward syntax that appears on this board once in a while.
Mike Reed Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 Grudge... nah... a fb post reminded me of this humorous event.
Mike Reed Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 ;-) yeah... no doubt. Hope u r well Lloyd.
Scott Lloyd Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 ;-) yeah... no doubt. Hope u r well Lloyd.I've had a cough for nigh on a week that I can't seem to shake. But thanks for asking.
Mike Reed Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) No Cal... he asked me if I unknowingly cited a Hofmann forgery... which is to ask me if I knew if I did. It would be a stupid question if it wasnt so loaded. Not sure which to credit Gee. Stupidity or conniving... it is a toss up for me. Edited February 25, 2014 by Mike Reed
Mike Reed Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) And no... btw... I am unaware of any hofmann forgeries cited. If anyone thinks otherwise... please tell me so. I however did knowingly cite one forgery, though... it was in my footnotes, and here is more info on it, in case u havent already read it: http://www.withoutend.org/leaden-books-sacromonte-granada-spain/ Edited February 25, 2014 by Mike Reed
Darren10 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 My goodness...talk about holding personal grudges for a while. But lol...I was like, what the garbage is he trying to say?Saying "garbage" is very Mormon of you.

It would be a stupid question if it wasnt so loaded. Not sure which to credit Gee. Stupidity or conniving... it is a toss up for me. To be clear I remember this event myself. I thought it did sound thoughtless and a weird attempt to embarrass you. But to bring it back up a couple years later for mockery only seems to do that which was done to you. Call it whatever you like, but it sounds like you are holding onto a personal grudge. Not saying that's necessarily a bad thing. Just saying it is what it is.
Mike Reed Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 I was reminded of what happened on fb recently, and I talk about it occasionally. Its actually a positive memory. Their attempt to embarrass me failed miserably.. and in fact did just the opposite. Clearly they were threatened by my findings and I was a force to be reckoned with. Why would I hold a grudge about that?
Mike Reed Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 In other words... this is less about a grudge and more about chest thumping. :-P
stemelbow Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 In other words... this is less about a grudge and more about chest thumping. :-P well then, you are the undisputed champ...of something. 2

Thanks (I think).
