EllenMaksoud Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I like to watch DVD's and lately there is difficulty in doing so. The computer has an INTEL quad 4 2.6 Mhz processor with 6 GB of memory, but it's about 5 or so years old. When I watch certain movies, the play pauses about every 30 seconds for about 10 seconds and then resumes play. I have checked the drivers and they seem up to date. So, I am thinking of installing a new DVD/CD drive. Or should I be looking elsewhere? There could be an issue with the certificates or something.

Two that I use are Malwarebytes anti-malware and Emsisoft anti-malware. Both are freeware and I run them about once a week.
cinepro Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Did you have any luck? You can get a good DVD drive for ~$20 (for a regular desktop computer), so it isn't a major investment. You could also try another DVD playback program.
Freedom Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 It is most likley a problem with your DVD drive as cinepro mentioned.
