Happy Christmas everyone. As a gift to my family I'll be cutting the chord to the bloggernacle until we start 2014. I feel like I'm about to go cold turkey! Or eat it... I'm not sure.

 

It's been an absolute pleasure. Thanks for your patience and perseverance.

 

Given I have something of a reputation for taking the negative view, this might be an apt final message of 2013 from me:

 

“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
