savedbygrace Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 'Mormonism' touches and shapes every single aspect of my life. It fills me with joy beyond expression. It is my life and my labour. It colours my every thought. I feel like shouting 'Hallelujah' dozens of times during each day as I recognise yet again what I have and enjoy as a member of the Church. My waking hours are filled with concern over my ward members and attempts to serve and bless them. My prayers are on their behalf, and frequently my dreams provide the inspiration I need to better fulfil my calling as a bishopric member, as a home teacher, and as a brother in Christ. The scriptures and the words of the living prophets fill my mind and shape my behaviour. As I said to a friend yesterday between sessions of General Conference, I can think of nothing more satisfying than listening to the preaching of the Word. Yep, I'm thoroughly obsessed.I think this is very true, if your faith is precious to you, then as quoted here it should shape and touch every aspect of our lives. I don't think that is being obsessed, it is merely living your faith. Though I am no longer LDS, my faith now is deeper, my understanding of God and his will clearer, I am constantly grateful for his grace, and living my faith is loving him above all else. If this is being obsessed then it's a good obsession. But as one who left, I like this forum, I will always be interested Mormonism, and as others have stated the discussions here are more interesting, so will hang around.
