This way of thinking about theology is, I think, highly relevant to Mormon Theology.

Why is it incredibly important?

To oversimplify to the point perhaps of distortion, it is important because it is the only philosophical approach to "reality" which places spiritual experience as a valid way of interacting with the universe- indeed as valid as any other way, including science.

It puts inquiry into spiritual experience and other personal experiences on an equal footing with science as important areas for human inquiry, and indeed in some ways as more important because they have been neglected for so long in the Western World.

While not a Mormon I found your added the site enabled me to find a video " Hell is Not Others" with James McLachlan. I never understood really what Sartre meant. Actually I have the choice to write a paper on "bad faith" for a philosophy subject. Thanks.

That's a great paper. McLachlan gives summaries for the views of a couple of philosophers I had never heard of, who yet had very important ideas.

I was raised on Sartre- my uncle was a Catholic theologian who did his dissertation on him and that 's how I originally became interested in philosophy. That doesn't mean I fully understand him though! I guess I need to spend more time in Parisian cafes to do that!
